Plexus Slim is a weight loss supplement that is mixed with water and alcohol.


It is sometimes called a "pink drink" because the powder makes the water pink.


Plexus Slim is being claimed to help you lose weight by making you feel fuller. It is also claimed to help lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels.


The recommended dose is one drink a day half an hour before meals.

This article provides a scientific and objective review of Plexus Slim.


What is Plexus Slim?

Like many weight loss supplements, Plexus Slim is a blend of ingredients, all of which are said to help with weight loss.


The main components of Plexus Slim are:


Chromium: 200 mcg.

Plexus Slim Blend (Green Coffee Bean Extract, Garcinia Cambogia Extract, and Alpha Lipoic Acid): 530 mg.

Plexus Slim Powder comes in small packages. It is intended to use one packet for each drink.


Please note that no scientific research has been done on Plexus Slim.


However, its four main active ingredients have been studied separately. Its creator, Plexus Worldwide, claims that these ingredients, when combined, have a significant effect on your weight.


To determine if Plexus Slim can work with weight loss, this article describes in detail the four components individually.


SUMMARY:

Plexus Slim contains Chromium, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Garcinia Cambogia, and Alpha Lipoic Acid.


Active Ingredients 1: Chromium

Chromium is an essential mineral that plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.


For this reason, it is a popular ingredient in weight loss supplements. It is also sold simply as a weight loss supplement.


Some studies indicate that chromium improves blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity which can lead to lower insulin levels.


In the form of chromium picolinate, chromium has reliably reduced some people's appetite and carbohydrate cravings.


Some people speculate that chromium may help you lose weight because these effects can help you eat fewer calories and burn more fat due to lower levels of insulin.


However, while chromium appears to be effective in some people, studies have not yet proven that it regularly improves blood sugar and insulin sensitivity in everyone.


Furthermore, studies have not revealed that chromium has any effect on body weight or body fats.


SUMMARY:

While chromium lowers blood sugar and improves insulin sensitivity in some people, studies have shown no effect on weight or body fat.




Active Ingredients 2: Garcinia cambogia extract

Garcinia cambogia extract is a popular weight loss supplement obtained from tropical fruits of the same name.


Several animal studies have linked weight loss and belly fat loss with Garcinia cambogia.


This effect may be due to a natural substance known as hydroxycitric acid or HCA found in Garcinia cambogia.


HCA is believed to help in weight loss by affecting the body’s ability to store excess energy in the form of fat. It does this by blocking a fat-producing enzyme called citrate lye.


Garcinia cambogia can also reduce your appetite by increasing the levels of the hormone serotonin in your brain.


Despite the impressive weight loss in animals, the effects in humans are much smaller and more incongruous.


One review noted that, over a three-month period, Garcinia Cambogia supplementation was only 2 pounds (0.88 kg) higher than the average weight loss by individuals.


It is noteworthy that many of the studies in this review combined Garcinia cambogia with diet, which may affect the results.


On its own, Garcinia Cambogia is less likely to help you lose a lot of weight.

Garcinia cambogia is promoted as a supplement to burn fat and reduce greed. However, it has not been proven to be very effective for humans.


Active Ingredients 3: Green Coffee Bean Extract

However, many studies focused on ALA and weight loss have used doses of around 300 mg per day. It is unclear how much ALA is in Plexus Slim.
